After an entire week, page one of this comic is finally finished - complete with bad anatomy, horrible backgrounds, and the laziest shading there ever was. I have little to no comic experience; I seldom draw backgrounds and I have never drawn speech bubbles or comic panels. However, one of the purposes behind this comic is to improve my artistic abilities. I want to dedicate the summer to improvement. Thus, critique and suggestions are welcome, but I do request that no one is too harsh on me; I'm a beginner, after all, and quite sensitive.

Glad to see you attempt this whole comic business - it ain't easy work! Not bad either - nice paneling, good use of bright colors. The big thing I'm going to suggest is working on expression, because communicating emotion is huge when it comes to comics. A lot of your canines tend to share the same face with little variation to the eyes, mouth, and face angle. Don't be afraid to exaggerate and stretch the face to convey what the character is feeling - you can experiment by drawing yourself making faces in a mirror. Here are some tutorials I recommend taking a look at too: [link] [link]

The last thing I'm going to nit-pick at is the reflection in the last panel. The reflection is too big and isn't aligned correctly to Aiko. Her whole body shouldn't be seen in the water either - it should be cut off somewhere around the feet. But otherwise, good first page! I look forward to seeing the the next page :)
